Quantum Software Specialist (m/f/x)

HQS Quantum Simulations is developing quantum algorithms to predict molecular and material properties for chemical and pharmaceutical companies. The HQS software works on conventional and state of the art quantum computers and widens the understanding of chemical and physical interactions to accelerate research and development processes for our customers.

To include another facet in our growing team we are searching for

Quantum Software Specialist (m/f/x)

fulltime, starting Summer 2021

Your tasks

• Developing and implementing software for quantum computation

• Implementing interfaces to quantum computers

• Close collaboration with external (hardware) partners

• Developing software for automatic translation of quantum algorithms from high-level to low-level

• Developing software for automatic optimization of quantum algorithms for specific hardware

• Developing and refining quantum algorithms

Your qualifications

• M.Sc. in physics, mathematics, computer science, or similar related to quantum software development

• Ph.D. or similar level of experience preferred

• Very good programming skills, interested in compiler design and program optimization

• experience with python, compiled languages, and git appreciated

• structured and analytical thinking and creativity in problem solving

• team-minded and a passion for new challenges
